Bigger Fatter Liar – KeyArt – Universal Pictures

Had the pleasure of photographing the movie poster for Universal Picture Entertainments “Bigger Fatter Liar” by Ron Oliver with Jodelle Ferland,  Barry Bostwick and Ricky Garcia. It’s the sequel to the 2002 hit “Big Fat Liar” starring Frankie Muniz and Paul Giamatti. We were lucky to get to shoot the gallery at The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, Canada.

Kevin Shepard is a tech-savvy young genius who uses his intelligence to slack off. When greedy video game executive Larry Wolf gets a hold of his ideas for a video game, Kevin and his best friend Becca set off for San Francisco to make Wolf’s life miserable through a series of pranks. – IMDB

New Work – Portraits of Lorne Craig – Unicycle Creatives

Catching up on some older work I haven’t shared yet.

Last year I had the pleasure of creating some conceptual portraits of Lorne Craig. Lorne has been creating advertising, marketing and communications work for 20+ year. For the last 10 years with Unicycle Creative were he is the Creative Director and owner. He has a big focus on working with brands that share his vision on sustainability and balance.

… and yes, Lorne is pretty sharp on a unicycle as well!! Enjoy the images below.

BC Hydro- Advertising Campaign – TAXI

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of working with the great creative people at TAXI‘s Vancouver office for a small Spring Lighting advertising campaign for BC Hydro. The campaign was shot as a collage so the images would both work individually as well as together next to each other as platform posters at skytrain stations around Vancouver.

Editorial Assignment – CB Magazine – Laurent Potdevin of Lululemon

I had the pleasure of visiting Lululemon again after having photographed an editorial portrait of their CEO Laurent Potdevin for The Wall Street Journal earlier. This time it was for a feature in Canadian Business Magazine.

We got to photograph Laurent in his office at the Lululemon headquarters in Vancouver. We did a wide environmental portrait and used a 4ft seamless behind the subject to separate and frame him. This was a request from the photo editor as this has been a concept and theme they have used in multiple editions of the magazine for these kind of features. We had a quick scout before the shoot day to find the best spot and which seamless colour would work for the concept and location.  For lighting we used a 3ft octabank as key light and a shoot through umbrella as fill and flood light. I think it all turned out well.

LAURENT POTDEVIN
A former president of Burton Snowboards and Toms Shoes, Laurent Potdevin joined Lululemon Athletica
in January 2014 with a mission to put product quality and image stumbles behind the clothing retailer. Today, one can only conclude he has succeeded: Sales should surpass US$2 billion this year, aided by overseas expansion and
a healthy 4% growth in comparable store sales, and the stock is once again testing its all-time highs. Born in Switzerland, Potdevin holds both an MBA and a master’s degree in engineering.

R.L. Stine’s Mostly Ghostly – Key Art – Universal Studios

A movie poster I photographed for Universal Studios “Mostly Ghostly: One Night in Doom House” by R.L. Stine. We shot it on set in Langley outside Vancouver, Canada. As always it was pleasure working alongside BC’s local motion picture crew.

Mostly Ghostly: One Night in Doom House is a 2016 horror comedy fantasy film directed by Ron Oliver and the sequel to Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend? (2014). The film is based on the third book of the same name by R. L. Stine and the third installment of the Mostly Ghostly film series.

Editorial Assignment – Cover Shoot for ROB Magazine

I photographed the cover story for Report On Business Magazine a while back for their article about the messy takeover of Safeway by Sobeys. It was a pretty interesting assignment to photograph, I got to combine both my conceptual studio still life with my more eerie fine art work such as the the series Deserted and Silence.

The cover was also nominated for best magazine cover at the Magazines Awards by the Canadian National Media Awards Foundation.
